| Customer Reviews: Sent the wrong battery July 1, 2010 m The vendor shipped the wrong battery. It was for a different Powerbook size. Returned the battery and didn't order another. Wasted over a week with no battery while waiting for this part to ship and arrive.
Very pleased with purchase. August 31, 2009 Lori A. Boyd (Ia USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was well taken care of. The wrong battery was sent to me, they took care of the problem "swiftly", gave me a label to send it right back, sent out
immediately the right battery and credited my credit card the difference and I got the correct battery fast and am using it and it works GREAT!! Would
order my future batteries from them again. Thanks. lb
Power for the Powerbook May 11, 2007 Bobbie Lynn (USA) 29 out of 33 found this review helpful
If you either need more power than one battery can provide, or you've found that the original battery for your powerbook isn't holding enough of a charge anymore, this is the officially branded replacement.
If you need to look up the details on your current battery before you decide, then click on the apple, select "about this mac" and then hit the "more info" button. Your battery's data is in the hardware section under power with the heading "Battery Information".
Apple Inc. provides a lot of information on the proper care of your batteries on their website. The basics are that if you're not planning to run your powerbook off of its battery for a while, you can store it (preferably at about 40% power) in a cold place to extend its lifespan. Additionally, about once every 30 times you use up the full charge of the battery and then recharge it (that's a total of 30 even if you do it in smaller increments, if you used up half of the battery each day it'd take 60 days, etc) you should keep it on battery power completely until it runs down to nothing and let it go to sleep due to lack of power before charging back up. This is just to give the battery an occasional chance to check on what its current maximum charge is, so that the time/percentage reported by OS X can remain accurate.
Enjoy!
