I was looking for a backup drive for my Mac to use with Time Machine. I read a lot of reviews of different brands and decided on the Western Digital. I've had it for a month now and it has been perfect. It was easy to set up and easy to use. I have it sitting on my desk behind my iMac and I don't notice any obnoxious sounds or flashing lights. Longevity remains to be seen but so far so good.

I ordered this product because i needed to back up my Hard drive before updating to Windows 7. When i was selecting this product. It was suggested that i buy a cable buy the system. Since it was only a couple of dollars i added it without looking to closly. The cable suggested was a HDMI video cable which was no use for the Hard drive i was ordering. Otherwise this was a very good purchace for me.

I am glad to have this external hard drive to use as pc data backup. It is simple to just plug in and begin transferring or adding files. It is very easy to copy files from pc to HD. My only complaint is that it doesn't intuitively file the files. It strictly copies the files to the drive in the order that it receives them. I then go to the hard drive to "organize" the files the way I would like. It doesn't take up much room and is quiet.
