Great Feel - Perfect for Mac/Win Combo April 3, 2010 Carlos M. Recalde (New York, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After a couple of false steps I finally found the keyboard that I was looking for. I use multiple PCs and Macs at my desk, and was looking for a light, wireless keyboard that I might use for the occasional need I have to administer my Mac server. I reluctantly ordered this non-Apple keyboard and mouse combination because its price was attractive and other reviews sounded OK. I was not sure what to expect regarding its construction, and hoped that it was not too flimsy. Thanks to Amazon, my order arrived in two days, and I was not disappointed. The keyboard is very light, making it easy to put off to the side when not needed. (And the option to stand it on its edge, was an extra plus. Though I think the spot to place a photo is a bit hokey, it actually works out nicely.) But the biggest reason to buy this keyboard is its feel. WOW! I am very tempted to make this my primary keyboard. Actually, I'm considering the purchase of second one, just for the keyboard. Typing on this keyboard is so good you won't believe it until you feel it for yourself.
I'm not in love with the mouse, but it works well enough. But a feature that I do like about the mouse is that it turns itself off whenever you dock it back to the keyboard. Since I rarely have to manage my server, I like that I will be saving battery life in between uses. Given the price for a combined keyboard and mouse, the mouse in in line with what I expected. The keyboard is a complete, and pleasant surprise. The combination is definitely worth the price.
good product November 14, 2009 W. Kelly (usa) Keyboard is great. Help with adapting this to a Mac they want to charge for which I don't think is right. So I fumbled, found a download and all is well.
This thing was almost awesome. November 14, 2009 Erin's Got an Opinion about Everything :) (San Francisco, CA) I liked this mouse and keyboard so much that I recommended it to a new co-worker who sits right next to me. All of a sudden, my mouse/keyboard didn't work when she was using hers...they interfere with each other. I called Kensington tech support and it turns out they're on the same frequency with no way to change it. You have to be 30 feet away from each other to avoid interference. How annoying is that?
Kensington Wireless Keyboard/mouse combo August 1, 2009 Cynthia K. Mcgill (Midland, TX) This is a thin lightweight wireless keyboard purchased to use with a MAC mini. Some of the favorable features of this combo is that the keys on the qwerty keyboard are large and comfortable and the keyboard sensitivity is preferable over other keyboards I have used. The keyboard is comfortable in my lap. Since I prefer using an ergonomic type mouse, this particular mouse is flat and it isn't as comfortable in my hand and the scroll wheel is a bit rigid. Overall, this combo is sleek and attractive in appearance and it gets the job done!
not the right color June 15, 2009 Demanding Customer (World Citizen, Florida) This keyboard has several nice features: very compact, which allows it to pack easily in a laptop bag or aluminum briefcase for air travel as carry-on; silent keys; stylish design. Unfortunately, the color is silver, not titanium grey. I had to return it and pay the return postage.
I ended up going with the Logitech Classic 200 and a red Logitech optical mouse, all for $35 total instead.
Many people had complained here about the reliability of the Kensington wireless.
The Logitech looks great, matches with my Dell Studio 17 in red color, and is compact enough to pack inside my 2 laptop cases. It's a USB wired keyboard paired with a wireless mouse, but in fact the keyboard is not inconvenient and never misses a keystroke nor has repeated entries, which seems to be a problem with this Kensington model.
I use my laptop for typical Office stuff, plus Internet and intensive calculations.
Frequent traveller.
